Today’s lunch… broodje haring met uitjes en zuur… also known as a bread roll with raw herring, onions and pickle.

At the suggestion of my fiance, I tried this Dutch delicacy.
In some places it was a bit slimy, but other than that… quite tasty.

Anyone reading that headline (except MY MAN), must be thinking that I am pretty fucked up to be dreaming about mold.
Well… I’m not dreaming about mold… but of Mold… a town in Flintshire, North Wales.

No… I’ve never been there… but now Mold is the goal… a simple life in a small town with MY MAN… a place that will allow us to build a life together.

In 28 days I will be boarding a plan to Amsterdam.
I’m am SO looking forward to being reunited with my beautiful man.

I am on MARTA… headed toward the airport… off to Cincinnati.
I will be staying with mom for a few day in Melbourne, Kentucky… returning to Atlanta on Tuesday.
I am all packed up with my technology… G1, laptop and Skype wireless headset. Luckily, I will only need to work on Tuesday.
A new friend of mine said (via text)…
I was looking at all ur pics last night and wow you have done some traveling!
You know… he’s right. But… I am so forgetful, I find it difficult to name the places I have been to. ![]()
So… I thought I would chronicle all of my future and past travels here. Maybe then I’ll remember. ![]()
Who? Me and B
What? an Alaskan cruise
When? Spring 2004
Where? Alaska, including Haines, Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway
Why? Fun, of course
How? via a Holland America Line on the Veendam
I didn’t know what to expect with this cruise. It was my second one; the first was the Carribean.
WOW! Alaska was BEAUTUIFUL!
The cruise was Holland America’s “Glacier Discovery Cruise” and that we did.
In fact one of the highlights was in Juneau, where we boarded a helicopter and flew to the top of Mendenhall Glacier.
Plus… there is no way I could forget the “hussy” (prostitution history) in Skagway, eating hot pea soup (my first bowl) on the deck of the ship, kayaking to find colorful starfish or the amazing views from the ship.
I made changes to the BF’s travel itinerary today.
He is now leaving the morning of May 6… spending a couple of days with his best friend in New Paltz, New York… then its back to Amsterdam.
I am not quite sure what the next three weeks has in store for us… or our time together beyond that. Time will tell, I guess.
On a lighter note… I also booked myself a ticket to visit mom in Melbourne, Kentucky over Memorial Day Weekend.
